Craig Porter Jr. is a point guard for the Cleveland Cavaliers. He went undrafted in 2023 but earned a contract from the Cavaliers after great performances in the 2023 Summer League when he averaged 12 points, 7.3 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game and was pivotal in helping them win their first ever Summer League that year. Before the NBA, Porter played high school basketball at Terre Haute South Vigo High School in Terre Haute, Indiana.

Craig Porter Jr. began his collegiate career at Vincennes University where he played two seasons (2018–2020). He led the team to a combined 62–7 record and an NJCAA national championship in 2019. Porter then transferred to Wichita State University, where he played three seasons (2020–2023). In his junior season (2021-22), Porter started 24 of 25 games and averaged 7.3 points per game. As a senior (2022-23), he became the first player in Wichita State history to lead the team in rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks in the same season. Craig Porter Jr. averaged 13.5 points, 6.2 rebounds, 4.9 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.5 blocks in 33.5 minutes per game during his senior year with the Wichita State Shockers. On February 26, 2023, Porter Jr. recorded a triple-double with 15 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists against Tulane University, becoming only the second player after Fred VanVleet to record a triple-double in Wichita State history. Overall, Porter appeared in 75 games (59 starts) for Wichita State, averaging 8.6 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 3.6 assists in 26.1 minutes. He was named to Third-Team All-AAC honors in 2023. As of November 2024, Craig Porter Jr. is in the second season with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
