Hailing from Rome, Georgia, United States, Tate Collier Ratledge has already become a two-time CFP National Champion with the Georgia Bulldogs. He started his. career at Darlington School, where he developed his football skills in addition to playing basketball and track and field. He joined the Georgia Bulldogs as a freshman in 2020 as a freshman. Ratledge's college career has been marked by both triumphs and challenges. As a freshman in 2020, he saw limited action, playing in just one game and accumulating seven snaps. However, it was in his sophomore year that Ratledge's determination shone through. He earned a starting spot for the season opener against Clemson, but his promising start was cut short due to a Lisfranc ligament fracture in his foot, causing him to miss the remainder of the season.

Tate Ratledge came back stronger than ever, starting in 14 out of 15 games for the Bulldogs. His consistency and skill on the field were instrumental in the team's success. He even had the honor of starting in the Bulldogs' two playoff games, including the prestigious 2023 College Football Playoff National Championship. These achievements earned Ratledge recognition as the seventh-best returning interior offensive lineman by Pro Football Focus and a preseason first-team all-SEC player. Tate Ratledge also earned AP All-America Second Team honors in 2023.
