Xavier Watts is a collegaite football safety for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, representing the Notre Dame University in NCAA's Independent Division. He was born on November 22, 2001, in Omaha, Nebraska and attended Harry A. Burke High School. He ran for 88 yards and a touchdown and recorded 163 receptions for 2,978 yards and 36 touchdowns during his junior year. His 2023 Bronko Nagurski Trophy victory was aided by an NCAA-high seven interceptions. Watts was selected as the Independent Safety of the Year and All-Independent first team by College Football Network after the season. He and his teammate, Joe Alt, were selected as unanimous All-Americans.
