Australian professional golfer Cameron Hugh Davis was born on February 21, 1995. He enjoyed a prosperous amateur career with victories in the Australian Amateur and the Eisenhower Trophy individual and team tournaments. He won the 2021 Rocket Mortgage Classic and has been a regular player on the PGA Tour since 2018.

In late 2016, Davis became a professional. He participated in the PGA Tour's OHL Classic at Mayakoba and tied for 15th place. Davis was fourth in the Q-school to earn a 2017 PGA Tour Canada spot. After placing 76th in the tour's standings and losing his card, he had a dismal season despite being tied for 14th in his debut tournament, the Freedom 55 Financial Open. As the tournament was a part of the Open Qualifying Series, he won the Emirates Australian Open in November, one stroke ahead of Jonas Blixt and Matt Jones, following a final round 64. It was his first professional victory and guaranteed a spot in the 2018 Open Championship. Despite beginning in the First Stage, Davis advanced to the final round of Q School, earning him status on the Web.com Tour for 2018. Davis earned a PGA Tour card by winning the 2018 Nashville Golf Open and being seventh on the Web.com Tour money list.

In the 2018–19 PGA Tour season, Davis had a difficult time and ended up 160th in the FedEx Cup points standings. He did, however, bounce back and place 84th in the 2019–20 campaign.

At the Rocket Mortgage Classic in July 2021, he won his first-ever PGA Tour match after overcoming Troy Merritt and Joaquín Niemann in a playoff. Finished 37th in the FedEx Cup standings at the end of the season. Davis was chosen in September 2022 to compete for the International squad in the Quail Hollow Club 2022 Presidents Cup; he participated in all five games, winning two and losing three.
