Lexi Thompson’s Parents

American professional golfer Alexis "Lexi" Thompson was born on February 10, 1995. At the age of 15, she became a professional in 2010, and the following year, she won the Navistar LPGA Classic, becoming the youngest champion in the history of the LPGA Tour. She became the second-youngest champion of the European Tour when she won the Dubai Ladies Masters that same year. At the age of eight, the Thompson took home her first amateur championship at the U.S. Kids Golf World Championship in 2003. She won six amateur tournaments between 2003 and 2009, including the Junior PGA Championships in 2007 and 2009.

Thompson declared in May 2024 that she would no longer play full-time professional golf, but she would still participate in a few events. She has won 15 professional tournaments in her career, including her only major championship, the 2014 Kraft Nabisco Championship. She also represented the United States in the International Crown in 2014, 2016, 2018, and 2023. She played at the Solheim Cup seven times, winning three in 2013, 2017 and 2024.

Lexi Thompson’s parents are Scott and Judy Thompson, according to NBC Sports. The couple also has two more kids, Nicholas and Curtis. Both of them are pro golfers who have played on the Korn Ferry and the PGA Tour. Lexi is the youngest and Nicholas is the eldest.

However, the Thompson family made a revelation in January 2012 to the Golf Channel that Nicholas is actually a stepson to Scott. His biological father is Curt, Scott’s elder brother, who passed away in a skiing accident in February 1983. Originally, Judy and Curt got married in March 1980 after a high love story.

Curt passed away at the age of 25 when Nicholas was eight weeks old. Then Judy used to work as a dental assistant.

Moving on, Scott had to leave for Michigan to study, but he missed his days with his brother, Judy, and friends. As soon as he graduated, he returned to South Florida and began earning by doing jobs. He stayed in a spare room of Judy's and they helped each other out by taking care of Nicholas and doing chores. Eventually they fell in love, marrying in October 1985.

“It took awhile, but doing so many things together with family and friends, it was just kind of a natural flow to something more. It was like it was meant to be.”

Lexi Thompson’s mother is Judy Thompson.

After receiving a breast cancer diagnosis, Judy recovered in 2006–07. Judy lost her father, Vince Fischi, to bone cancer at the age of 51, one year before Curt's passing, according to NBC Sports. Almost ten years after everything was finished, Lexi spoke to the public in the middle of 2017. As per ESPN, she said:

"I remember when she got diagnosed with cancer and luckily, they caught it pretty early. Just to see how much she's fighting, it's inspirational."
