Marina Alex is a former American professional golfer, who was born on August 2, 1990. She was born and raised in Wayne, New Jersey, and attended Wayne Hills High School. During her amateur career, she won individual state titles in 2007 and 2008, followed by the 2010 SEC Women's Championship during her time at Vanderbilt University. She turned professional in 2012 and initially played on the Symetra Tour (now the Epson Tour).

Alex joined the LPGA Tour two seasons later in 2014, but her first professional win came four years later, at the 2018 Cambia Portland Classic. She won her second professional title at the 2022 Palos Verdes Championship, defeating Ko Jin-young by one stroke. Throughout her career, she didn't win a major; her best result was a tied-for ninth-place finish at the 2014 Women's British Open. Alex stepped away from professional golf in November 2024, following her tie for 12th place finish at the CME Group Tour Championship, as per the LPGA Tour.

Marina Alex’s parents are Steve and Marissa Alex, according to her Vanderbilt University bio. Apart from Alex, the couple has a son, Anthony. The family has been residing in Florida for more than a decade, as per North Jersey.

According to northjersey.com, Marina had plans to retire from professional golf in 2022. Talking about the same, her mother, Marissa, said, “I think if she stays healthy and her back will cooperate, I think she probably would like to play a few more years, but I don’t want to speak for her with that.”

Marissa also added, “She was always tenacious, even as a kid. I think that’s just nature. I think that’s just how you’re born.”
