After graduating from Georgia Tech, Matt Kuchar became a professional golfer in the year 2000 and started playing on the PGA Tour. He won at the Honda Classic (2002), which was his first victory on the PGA Tour. During his professional career, Matt won a total of 18 professional tournaments including 9 PGA Tour. Besides the PGA Tour, he has also played on the European Tour, Japan Golf Tour, Asian Tour, PGA Tour of Australia, and the Korn Ferry Tour.

Throughout his professional career, Matt Kuchar has competed in each four major championships and made his best finishes, including T2 at The Open Championship in 2017. He reached his peak on June 2, 2013 with the 4th position in the Official World Golf Ranking. Matt Kuchar was born in Winter Park, Florida, on June 21, 1978 to Peter Kuchar and Meg Kuchar. He also has a sister, named Rebecca. In 2003 he married Sybi Kuchar and they have two sons, Cameron Cole and Carson Wright. Besides golf, Matt also loves playing tennis and basketball.
