
Im Sung-Jae, widely known as Sungjae Im, is a South Korean professional golfer. He was born on March 30, 1998. Sung-Jae Im turned pro in 2015 and competed on the Japan Golf Tour in 2016 and 2017. His best finish came at the 2017 Mynavi ABC Championship, finishing in joint second place. In the same year, he placed fifth in scoring average and 12th overall on the tour money list. In 2018, Im won two events on the Web.com tour and secured the Player of the Year award. He earned his first PGA Tour win at the Honda Classic in March 2020 and was awarded the PGA Tour's Rookie of the Year award for the 2018-19 season.
During his 100th appearance on the PGA Tour in October 2021, Im defeated Matthew Wolff to win the Shriners Children's Open after rallying from a three-shot deficit. This was his second PGA Tour win, out of his seven professional wins as of March 2025. Further, he is ranked world number 22 and has a career-high ranking of world No. 16, achieved in February 2021, in the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR).
