Ion Cutelaba is a Moldovan professional mixed martial artist fighting in the light heavyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Born in Chisinau, Moldova, on December 14, 1993, he initially competed in Greco-Roman wrestling, besides being a competitor in sambo and judo. He represented his country, Moldova, in the 2012 European Sambo Championships and came first in the 90 kg category of the competition.
Cutelaba made his professional mixed martial arts debut in April 2012 and competed in the Eastern European regional promotions, amassing a record of 11 wins and 1 loss. He made his debut for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) on June 18, 2016, against Misha Chirkunov in Ontario, Ottawa, Canada, at the UFC Fight Night: MacDonald vs. Thompson.
