Israel Adesanya, a professional mixed martial artist, kickboxer, and former boxer from Nigeria and New Zealand, was born on July 22, 1989. Adesanya has won numerous championships in all three sports. He currently competes as a mixed martial artist in the middleweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), where he has won the title twice. He has previously challenged for the Glory Middleweight Championship title in kickboxing. He is ranked No.2 in the middleweight division.

After losing the UFC middleweight title to Sean Strickland in September 2023, Israel Adesanya made an outing against the current champion, Dicrus du Plessis. At UFC 305, but could not win back the gold. However, he is now gearing up for his next fight against Nassourdine Imavov on February 1, 2025.
