Murphy was selected in the first round of the 2024 NFL draft by the Seattle Seahawks with the 16th overall pick. He played three years of collegiate football at the University of Texas. Born on September 8, 2002, the Texas native attended and played high school football at DeSoto High School in DeSoto, Texas.
