Danielle Hunter is an American football defensive end for the Houston Texans as of the 2024 NFL season. The Minnesota Vikings selected him with the 88th overall pick in the third round of the 2015 NFL Draft. Before the Texans, Hunter spent nine seasons with the Minnesota Vikings, including 2020, when he did not play due to injury. Hunter had his first breakout season in 2018, where he had 72 combined tackles and 14.5 sacks. He continued to excel on the defensive side of the ball in the 2019 season and put up similar numbers to his season prior. In 2023, Hunter put up career-best numbers with a jaw-dropping 16.5 sacks, 4 forced fumbles, 83 combined tackles, and 23 tackles for loss. Hunter was named to the Pro Bowl four times in 2018, 2019, 2022 and 2023 and was also named to the All-Pro Second team in 2018.
