Maryland-born Defensive end Eyabi Okie has been rated as a potential backup coming out of the 2024 NFL Combine. He put up a prospect grade of 5.96 and had an EDGE rank of 10 in terms of Athleticism Score (74).

Okie-Anoma is said to have NFL-level potential carrying that explosiveness and power moves. He also possesses the quickness to dodge through lanes and play as a backside run defender. NFL analysts rate Okie-Anoma as a fit in the league with proper size and build. He is also among the fastest defensive players in the class while having the fluidity to bring a certain edge.

Eyabi Okie-Anoma College

Okie-Anoma currently attends the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, playing for the Charlotte 49ers. In the one season before declaring for the draft, Okie-Anoma recorded 56 total and 23 solo tackles for the 49ers.

For his freshman year, Okie-Anoma committed to Alabama in December 2017. While playing as a linebacker in 2018 he was given the SEC All-Freshman honours at the end of the season. Okie-Anoma was dismissed from the University of Alabama by the head coach Nick Saban with the reason disclosed.

Okie-Anoma committed to Houston but was unable to play due to NCAA rules in the 2020 season. He decided to switch to UT Martin the following season where he earned honours like OVC Defensive Player of the Week. Okie-Anoma also helped his team in their 2021 OVC championship campaign. He also ended up on the OVC All-Newcomer team. He transferred to the University of Michigan in August 2022. He played for a season recording 18 tackles. He decided to change his college for the fourth time enrolling with Charlotte in 2023.

Eyabi Okie-Anoma High School

Eyabi Okie-Anoma attended the Saint Frances Academy growing up in Baltimore, Maryland. He ended up as the Defensive Player of the Year in 2017 while also being one of the highest-rated prospects in his class. He helped his team to an undefeated record and conference championships for the second straight season.

He recorded 98 tackles and 22 sacks as a senior and 60 tackles and 24 sacks as a junior Okie-Anoma was ranked No.3 by USA Today while No. 4 by 247Sports coming out of High School.
