American wide receiver Jalen McMillan was born on December 7, 2001. He attended the University of Washington playing for the Huskies in the 2020 season. McMillan had a slow start to his college career as he appeared in only three games in his freshman season.

Picking up the pace in his sophomore season, McMillan led the team in receiving yards with 470 and scoring three total touchdowns. As the 2022 campaign got underway, McMillan was selected a preseason Honourable mention all-PAC-12, McMillan was selected a preseason Honourable mention all-PAC-12.

Growing up in California, he attended the San Joaquin Memorial High School. McMillan totaled 3,045 yards, 31 touchdowns, and 162 receptions as a junior and senior. Moreover, he was a baseball player who had invitations to play two sports at USC and Oklahoma.

McMillan was a 4-star prospect who chose the University of Washington over offers from universities like Notre Dame and Alabama to play collegiate football. McMillan was invited to the 2022 Alamo Bowl and is a part of the 2024 Sugar Boel and CFP National Championship games.

McMillan worked in the slot at Washington for a long time, mostly due to necessity. Rome Odunze and Ja'Lynn Polk were known for taking most of the outside shots, but McMillan showed no trouble beating the press and running routes outside the numbers when asked to step in for them.
