Jayden Reed is an American football wide receiver for the Green Bay Packers as of the 2024 NFL season. The Packers selected him with the 50th overall pick from the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft. The Chicago native started his collegiate journey with Western Michigan Broncos in 2018, before moving to inter-state Michigan State University. While at Western Michigan, Reed accumulated 797 yards in 13 games. The 24-year-old (as of November 2024) went on to play 31 games for the Michigan State Spartans, in which he recorded an impressive 147 receptions for 2,069 yards (via Sports Reference). Before committing to Western Michigan, he attended Metea Valley High School and moved to Naperville Central High School for his senior year.

Reed’s high production from his college days did not leave behind when he became a pro in 2023. He instantly cracked into the starting lineup for the Packers come the regular season. Jayden concluded his rookie season with 64 receptions, 793 receiving yards, 312 scrimmage yards and 10 total touchdowns. However, his postseason performance left much to be desired as he could only muster up 35 receiving yards in two playoff games.
