Jermaine Burton, born on June 28, 2001 is an American football wide receiver who has attended the Calabasas High School in California and was ranked the No. 58 player nationally and the No.15 wide receiver in the country.

The Southern California native was rated a four-star prospect coming out of Calabasas by all major outlets. During his high senior campaign, Burton made a significant impact with 40 receptions for 863 yards and 14 touchdowns. His remarkable season earned him a spot in the USA Today 2018 All-USA California First Team offense.

Burton embarked on his collegiate football journey with University of Georgia over offers from Alabama, LSU, USC, Texas A&M and a few others. He quickly emerged as a deep threat for Georgia making 27 receptions for 404 yards starting in 10 games for the Bulldogs.

He averaged 15 yards per reception and three touchdowns. In 2021, Burton saw action in 14 games recording 26 catches for 497 yards with five touchdowns. He never quite found the footing at Georgia and a change of surroundings was exactly what he needed.

Burton entered the NCAA transfer portal in 2022 after winning the national championship with Georgia in 2021. He committed to Alabama Crimson Tide, ending his two-year spell in Athens with 901 yards receiving, 53 receptions and eight touchdowns.

Burton seeked a more prominent role at Alabama and started in 12 out of 13 games for the Crimson Tide. He recorded 37 catches for 590 yards while averaging 15.9 yards per catch in 2022. In 2023, Burton led the team with 39 catches for 798 yards and eight touchdowns. As a senior, Burton averaged 20.5 yards per reception leading the SEC and ranked sixth nationally.

His time in Tuscaloosa has allowed him to play against some of the best cornerbacks in the country. Burton’s collegiate career proved to be productive as he recorded 132 catches for 2,376 yards and 23 touchdowns. He officially tossed his name in the 2024 NFL Draft and would not return to school for his final year of eligibility.
