Joseph Demarius "Jody" Fortson Jr. is a professional American football player who plays as a tight end and is a free agent as of 2024. In 2019, Fortson signed a contract as an undrafted free agent with the Kansas City Chiefs. Fortson was signed off to the practice squad and dismissed during his rookie season, but the following year he re-signed with the Chiefs. In 2021, Fortson participated in the regular season and signed a contract extension with the Chiefs. Fortson caught five passes for 47 yards and two touchdowns in six games at the end of the 2021 campaign. Fortson participated in 13 games the following season, hauling in nine receptions for 108 yards and two touchdowns. Fortson's ability to play was limited when he was placed on the injured reserve in 2023. The Miami Dolphins signed Fortson to a deal in March 2024, however, the Dolphins released him in August of the same year.

Fortson recorded 37 receptions for 477 yards and seven touchdowns during his time as a wide receiver at Valdosta.
