Georgia-born Jonathan Raymond Greenard was drafted in the third round (90th pick) in the 2020 NFL Draft. He only managed to start one game in his debut season while getting injured for a month or two. Greenard started all 12 games putting up 33 combined tackles in the 2021 season. Greenard was playing as a redshirt freshman for the Louisville Cardinals. He recorded five tackles (1.5 for loss) in his first career start at the 2016 Citrus Bowl.

He suffered another wrist injury in his junior season keeping him away from the game. Despite being hurt as a redshirt junior, Greenard completed additional classes to graduate one semester early, allowing him to enter as a graduate transfer at Florida in January 2019. Greenard put up career high numbers in the 2023 season starting all 15 games he played in. He recorded 52 combined tackles and 36 solo tackles this season. Following a successive season, Greenard has bid his farewell to the Texans joining the Minnesota Vikings in March 2024.
