More significantly, he demonstrated a talent for interceptions, recording two in back-to-back triumphs. Turner continued to increase in 2022. He played an important role, starting 11 games at linebacker and finishing second on the Badgers with 65 total tackles.

Turner also disturbed opponent attacks by recording 5.0 tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks, and an interception. His notable performances were eight tackles against Illinois and a career-high 10 tackles with a sack versus Iowa. Turner's defensive domination culminated in an outstanding performance in the Guaranteed Rate Bowl.

He was named defensive MVP after recording eight tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss, which helped the Badgers win. Turner remained consistent during the 2023 season. He appeared in 11 games, starting seven at inside linebacker, and cemented his status as one of the team's top tacklers. With 61 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, and 3.0 sacks, he remained a disruptive presence on defense.
