American football wide receiver Justin Jefferson plays for the Minnesota Vikings as of the 2024 NFL season. Jefferson was born in St. Rose, Louisiana, and attended Destrehan High School in Destrehan. The Minnesota Vikings took him with the 22nd overall pick from the 2020 NFL draft. A three-star prospect coming out of his high school, the 6 ft 1 inches wideout stayed in his home state and committed to Louisiana State University where he played for the Tigers from 2017-2019. After appearing in only 2 games in his freshman season, Jefferson went on to lead the team in receiving yards in the 2018 season with 875 yards. However, his best was yet to come as he went over 1,500 yards in 2019 and helped LSU win their first national championship since the 2007 season. In his 3 years with the team, he was Second-team All-SEC once. He concluded his collegiate career after piling up more than 2,400 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns.

The three-time pro bowler has been as advertised since entering the league in 2020. The 2022 Offensive Player of the Year has missed only 7 games in his entire career due to an injury or some other foreseen circumstances since putting on the Vikings uniform. Jefferson has accumulated over 1000 receiving yards in each of his five seasons since entering the NFL in 2020. His best statistical season came in 2022 when he put up career-best numbers across all offensive metrics from receptions (128) to receiving yards (1,809). He also got into the endzone 8 times that year. Jefferson’s amazing play has earned him the respect among his peers as he has been voted in the NFL Top 100 every year since entering the NFL.
