Tayvion Robinson is an American football player from Virginia Beach, Virginia currently plying his trade with Kentucky Wildcats. The 5-foot-11, 190-pound wide receiver was rated a 4-star prospect coming out of Frank W. Cox High School.
During his high school days, Robinson played quarterback, running back and receiver on the offense and was a two-time conference champion. In his senior season, Robinson accounted for 1635 yards, 539 passing, 1096 rushing and 21 touchdowns. He was also rated the No.6 player in Virginia in the class of 2019 by Rivals.
Robinson embarked on his collegiate football journey with Virginia Tech over offers from Maryland, Nebraska, Ohio State, South Carolina and Virginia. As a true freshman in 2019, Robinson made his appearance in 11 games with seven starts with 31 receptions for 404 yards, with one TD and QB rating of 87.7.
His sophomore season was similar to his rookie campaign as he started in all 11 games, and was the team’s leading receiver with 38 catches for 592 yards. As a junior in 2021, Robinson led the Hokies in 44 receptions and five touchdowns and was second on the squad in receiving yards (559).
For his stellar performance in the junior season, Robinson earned the ESPN All-ACC Midseason Team Honours in 2021. The wide receiver entered the transfer portal in 2021 and committed to the Kentucky Wildcats after three seasons at Virginia Tech.
Robinson continued his momentum in his senior season for Kentucky. He played in 11 games with eight starts in 2022 and had 62 punt returns for 617 yards. He totaled 40 catches for 497 yards and marked an elite QB rating of 133.9.
Robinson ended the 2023 season with 41 receptions, 552 yards and four touchdowns. Tayvion Robinson who has been a consistent producer through his college career has entered the 2024 NFL draft as a fifth-year senior.
