Terrell Hemingway, who is fondly known as Tonka Hemingway, is an American football player who plays the defensive tackle position. Tonka got his nickname ever since he was a small kid because he used to impersonate Tonka Trucks as per his father’s admission. Born in October 2001, in South Carolina, Hemingway attended Conway High School in his native state, taking up basketball and baseball along with football.
Deciding to stay close to home, Hemingway attended the University of South Carolina where he continued his football career for the South Carolina Gamecocks football team. He started his collegiate career in 2020 as a freshman and received some playing time. He had an overall consistent journey in his four-year college football career, however, he decided to return to South Carolina for another year instead of declaring for the NFL Draft.
