Boone Jenner is a Canadian professional ice hockey player and captain of the Columbus Blue Jackets of the NHL. He was born on June 15, 1993, in Dorchester, Ontario, to Matt and Terri Jenner, as the youngest of three boys. His first name was inspired by something his father heard on the radio, while his middle name, Robbie, pays homage to his paternal grandfather. Growing up in Mossley, Ontario, a small town near London, Jenner was active in both hockey and lacrosse. His introduction to organized hockey began with Dorchester Tyke Firefighters. Jenner progressed through minor hockey with the Elgin Middlesex Chiefs AAA team in the Minor Hockey Alliance of Ontario League before transitioning to the Ontario Hockey League (OHL).

His NHL career commenced when he was picked by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2011 entry draft as the 37th overall pick. Since debuting in 2012, he has played only for the Blue Jackets and is currently under a four-year contract which showcases his commitment to represent the team in the upcoming seasons. Jenner's most notable achievement included making his first NHL All-Star game after debuting around 11-years ago.
