Jamie Benn Family

Jamie Benn is a Canadian ice hockey left-winger and captain for the Dallas Stars of the National Hockey League (NHL). His ice hockey journey began in British Columbia, where he honed his skills in the local leagues, starting with the Peninsula Eagles and progressing through the Peninsula Panthers and Victoria Grizzlies.

Progressing to his major junior hockey career with the Kelowna Rockets of the Western Hockey League, Benn recorded 65 points across 51 games in his rookie season. This was followed by an even better performance the following season where he recorded 82 points across 56 games, leading him to a First All-Star Team selection. Subsequently, he led the team to an Ed Chynoweth Cup title while leading the team with 33 points. This set the stage for his NHL career, which saw him notable success with multiple NHL All-Star Game appearances, NHL first All-Star team selections and the Art Ross Trophy in 2015.

Jamie Benn’s Personal Life

Jamie Benn was born to parents Randy and Heather Benn who laid the foundation of his hockey journey. Randy Benn, Jamie's father, achieved notable success as a softball player who played for Team Canada, securing gold medals at both the 1976 World Championships and the 1979 Pan-American Games. Growing up, Jamie liked ice hockey and he also excelled in baseball, inspired by his father's athletic legacy. Jamie was introduced to the sport through his mother when she enrolled him in the Timbits hockey program, following the footsteps of his older brother who is currently playing for the Brynas IF in the Swedish HockeyAllsvenskan.

Moreover, Jordie had a notable career in the NHL with multiple teams including Dallas Stars, Montreal Canadiens, Vancouver Canucks, Minnesota Wilds, Winnipeg Jets, and Toronto Maple Leafs.

Jenny Benn, Jamie’s older sister, is married and the mother of a little girl.

Apart from his family, Jamie Benn is romantically involved with Jassica Bennette. The couple got engaged in December 2022. Notably, Jessica is a former football player and is now working as a sales consultant in Dallas.
