Brad Marchand is a Canadian professional ice hockey left winger for the Florida Panthers in the NHL. He was the third-round, 71st overall pick in the 2006 NHL Entry draft. Brad Marchand started his NHL journey with the Bruins' AHL affiliate team, Providence Bruins in the 2008-2009 season. After playing one season in the AHL, he made his NHL debut on October 21, 2009. Marchand achieved the Seventh Player Award and also claimed his first Stanley Cup with the Bruins in 2011. He contributed 11 goals during the 2011 playoffs. In the following years, Marchand won multiple awards like the Elizabeth C. Dufresne Trophy, and John P. Bucyk Award for his standout performances.

Marchand had a breakthrough during the 2016-2017 season and finished the season with 85 points and earned a place in the NHL All-Star Game. Marchand also signed an eight-year-long contract with the Bruins in 2016 and has been the league's top scorer. In March 2025, he was traded to the Florida Panthers, beginning a new chapter in his professional career.
