Dylan Holloway is a Canadian professional ice hockey center playing for the Edmonton Oilers in the National Hockey League (NHL). Notably, he was selected 14th overall by the Oilers in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft and has been associated with them ever since. Prior to that, Holloway started his amateur career with the Okotoks Oilers of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) in the 2016–17 season, where he finished second in scoring is his third season there, scoring 40 goals across 53 games. Considering his impressive performance, the NHL Central Scouting Bureau rated him the 12th-best North American skater eligible for selection in 2020. In the meantime, Holloway advanced to collegiate hockey with the Wisconsin Badgers in the NCAA's Big Ten Conference. Holloway then showcased his impressive performance during his sophomore season with the Badgers, where he contributed 11 goals and 24 assists across 23 games, ranking fifth in NCAA scoring and fourth in points per game. Holloway finished his collegiate career on April 16, 2021, and signed a three-year contract with the Oilers. The contract signing marked the beginning of his professional career and he was soon transitioned into the American Hockey League with Bakersfield Condors to hone his skills.
