Jake Guentzel is a forward for the Carolina Hurricanes in the National Hockey League (NHL). Notably, he was traded to the Hurricanes in March 2024 alongside Ty Smith in exchange for Michael Bunting, Ville Koivunen, prospects Cruz Lucius, Vasilli Ponomaryov and two conditional draft picks from the 2024 NHL draft.

Drafted by the Penguins in the third round of the 2013 NHL Draft, Guentzel signed with the team in May 2016 after completing three seasons at the University of Nebraska-Omaha. His NHL debut in November 2016 saw him score two goals against the New York Rangers. That same season, Guentzel played a crucial role in their journey to Stanley Cup glory. During the playoffs, Guentzel led all scorers with 13 goals and tied the rookie playoff points record with 21. His achievements included scoring five game-winning goals and becoming the second rookie in NHL history to record a hat trick and an overtime goal in the same playoff game. Over his tenure with the Penguins, Guentzel recorded two 40-goal seasons and earned a five-year contract extension in 2018.

Moreover, Jake Guentzel has garnered several awards and honors over the course of his career. This includes, All-Rookie Team, Rookie of the Year, and Second All-Star Team honors while playing in the USHL, NCHC All-Rookie Team honors in 2014, NHL All-Star Game honors in both 2020 and 2022.

Where does Jake Guentzel live?

Jake Guentzel, the former Penguins winger now playing for the Carolina Hurricanes, recently sold his home in Mars, Pennsylvania, to his former teammate Bryan Rust. The property, located at 660 Chilliwack Lane in Marshall Township, was sold for $2.125 million, the same price at which Guentzel originally purchased it in July 2022. The home featured five bedrooms, five bathrooms, and had approximately 7,500 square feet of living space on a half-acre lot in the Venango Trails community.

This sale sparked speculation about Guentzel's future with the Penguins, as many had anticipated that he might re-sign with the team after the 2023-24 season. However, the transaction brought a good news for the Hurricanes as he was traded to them a few days later. However, details regarding his present home are currently unavailable on the public domain.

Jake Guentzel's Other Houses

Jake Guentzel made a real estate move in 2020 when he purchased a home in downtown Pittsburgh for $1,438,878. However, specific details about this property are currently unavailable.
