Tom Wilson, born on March 29, 1994, is a Canadian professional ice hockey right winger and alternate captain for the Washington Capitals in the National Hockey League (NHL) as of 2024. Selected by the Capitals in the first round of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft, Wilson's hockey journey began in Toronto, Ontario.

Starting as a defenseman in minor ice hockey, he later transitioned to playing as a forward for a more active role. He was later drafted by the Plymouth Whalers in the 2010 OHL Draft after the conclusion of his minor level hockey career in the Greater Toronto Hockey League (GTHL) with the Toronto Jr. Canadians. Around the same time Wilson contributed to Canada's gold medals at the World U17 Hockey Challenge and the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament. Despite early injuries, he gained attention during the 2012 J. Ross Robertson Cup playoffs.

Joining the Capitals for the 2013 Stanley Cup playoffs, Wilson became a regular in the 2013–14 NHL season due to his enforcer role. Notably, he was part of the Capitals team that won the Stanley Cup in 2018 and has been named to the NHL All-Star game twice in his career till now (2022 and 2024).
