Edrice Femi “Bam” Adebayo is a powerhouse of a Center and Power Forward, currently playing for the Miami Heat in the NBA. He was drafted by the team with the 14th overall pick in 2017. The two-time NBA All-Star is notable for leading his team into the NBA finals in 2020 and 2023.
In the 2022/23 season, Adebayo played 75 games with the Heat, averaging 20.4 points, 9.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.8 blocks per game. He shot 54.0%, including 8.3% from the deep end, and played his second NBA All-Star game in the same season. He also joined Shaquille O’Neal and LeBron James to become the third player in the history of the Miami Heat to score 20 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists in a postseason game. In doing so, he achieved his twenty-third playoff double-double and he overtook Dwayne Wade (22) and only trailed behind LeBron James (31) in the history of the Heat.
Adebayo also won a gold medal for Team USA at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. Whereas, in the 2024 Paris Olympics, Bam Adebayo is also a team member of the USA team which has already reached the finals of the basketball tournament.
