Bam Adebayo is a professional basketball player who plays for the Miami Heat in the NBA as of March 2025. Adebayo was selected as the 14th overall pick by the Miami Heat in the first round of the 2017 NBA Draft. The three-time All-Star has led the team to the NBA Finals two times (2020 and 2023). In the 2022/23 season, Adebayo played 75 games with the Heat, averaging 20.4 points, 9.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.8 blocks per game. He shot 54.0%, including 8.3% from the deep end, and played his second NBA All-Star game in the same season. He also joined Shaquille O’Neal and LeBron James to become the third player in the history of the Miami Heat to score 20 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists in a postseason game. In doing so, he achieved his twenty-third playoff double-double and he overtook Dwayne Wade (22) and only trailed behind LeBron James (31) in the history of the Heat.

Adebayo also won a gold medal for Team USA at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. Whereas, in the 2024 Paris Olympics, Bam Adebayo was also a team member of the USA team who also won the gold medal. Before joining the NBA, Adebayo went to the University of Kentucky, where he played a lone season and averaged 13.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game.
