The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns is a football team of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and are members of the Sun Belt Conference, as of 2024. Since their inception, the Ragin' Cajuns have won two national championships in 1992 and 1996. The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns have won five division championships and have a bowl record of 8-4, as of 2024. The Ragin' Cajuns’ coach is Michael Desormeaux, who took up the role of the head coach in 2021. Their four main rivals are Louisiana Tech, ULM, Lamar, McNeese State, and Southeastern Louisiana. The fans chant their fighting song ‘Ragin' Cajuns Fight Song’ during their match days. Their home stadium is the Cajun Field located in Lafayette, Louisiana.

The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns had a remarkable 2021 season, under head coach Billy Napier. The team ended the season with a 13–1 overall with a perfect 7–0 record in the Sun Belt Conference, winning the conference championship. They were ranked first in the national ranking and set a school record of winning 13 games in a row after losing to Texas. The Ragin' Cajuns won the Sun Belt West Division and defeated Appalachian State in the conference championship game. The quarterback, Levi Lewis, became the school's all-time leader in touchdown passes with 54. The 2021 season cemented Louisiana's place as a power program in college football.
