Artemi Sergeyevich Panarin was born on October 30, 1991, in Korkino, Russia. He debuted in the NHL with the Chicago Blackhawks in 2015 and is currently serving as an alternate captain for the New York Rangers. Commonly known as Beardman or Beard, he started his professional hockey career in his native country Russia. He played in the Kontinental Hockey League with Vityaz Chekhov, Ak Bars Kazan, and SKA Saint Petersburg.

Panarin was an undrafted player in the NHL and that was what set him apart. He signed an entry-level contract with the Chicago Blackhawks in 2015, beginning his career in the NHL. Just after his debut, Panarin secured a prestigious Calder Memorial Trophy for the league's top rookie in the 2015-2016 season.

Born and growing up in Korkino, Russia faced many challenges during his childhood. Panarin struggled to excel as there were limited resources and also the absence of his parents as a child that he missed the most. However, his maternal grandparents raised him with love and affection.

Artemi Panarin was born to parents Elena and Sergey on October 30, 1991. His mother was only 20 years old when he was born. Artemi's childhood was marked by many challenges. His parents divorced when he was just three months old. Artemi's mother Elena was not able to provide a stable environment for her three-month-old. So, she made the hard decision of leaving Panarin to his grandparents. He was adopted by his grandparents in 1992.

Due to the separation of his own parents, Panarin was raised by his maternal grandparents, Vladimir and Nina Levin. They raised the three-month-old Panarin with full affection and love. Despite limited resources in Korkino, they guided Panarin to become the strong player that he is today. Panarin as a kid dealt with many difficulties not just in sports but also lacking basic things that any other child would have. Living in a small village with grandparents, he introduced him to ice hockey when he was just five years old. He was sent to live away and play in an a sports-centric foster home at the age of 10 due his grandparents inability to provide for him.

Vladimir has been an ex-amateur player in Russia during his time. Panarin developed an interest in skating and his grandfather is the reason for his solid skills in the NHL. His grandparents' sacrifices and devotion were evident in raising their grandson well despite financial struggles. Panarin gifted them an SUV to pay them back for their sacrifices.

Panarin's grandfather put him at the Traktor Ice Hockey School in Chelyabinsk where he dedicately practised hockey and ice skating. His grandfather was his pillar during his childhood who guided him well and drove him to various hockey tournaments in Tymen. Panarin slowly excelled in the Kontinental Hockey League with the HC Vityaz. His early performance in the KHL was promising with 18 points in 40 games played.

Panarin was traded to SKA Saint Petersburg in 2013 and quickly made his impact in the league. In his second season with them he reached a career high of 20 goals and 20 assists. With an impressive 26 goals and 62 points in just 54 games in his third season with them. He was the key player for the Championship run by contributing 20 points in 20 playoff matches. For his incredible performance, Panarin was named to the KHL First All-Star Team for the 2014-2015 season.
