Kirill’s professional career in the National Hockey League began when he was selected by the Minnesota Wild in the NHL draft of 2015. However, he did not play in any season with the Wilds until 2020. He arrived in North America in 2020 and during the 2020–21 NHL season, he made his official NHL debut playing for the Minnesota Wild against the Los Angeles Kings. Kirill scored a game-winning goal during his debut game as the Minnesota Wild defeated the Los Angeles Kings. Kirill finished his debut season recording 27 goals and 51 points.
