IndyCar Racing is America’s staple series for open-wheel racing action, as it is compared to the likes of Formula 1. IndyCar racing is associated with high speed action, overtakes and wheel to wheel racing. Like Formula 1, IndyCar also features a long list of teams and powerful cars which race around the tarmac. IndyCar teams use a V6 twin-turbocharged engine capable of producing nearly 700 hp in their cars. These engines are provided by Honda and Chevrolet. IndyCar racing involves a variety of different tracks which include: ovals, street tracks and conventional circuits. The Indianapolis 500 is a world famous race from IndyCar and often drivers from other categories aim to compete and win the race.
