Update 11:02 PM IST - That is it, this game has been called off! We waited for three hours in anticipation of getting some action underway, but unfortunately, it was not to be. Rain is back at the ground, and no play will be possible.
Update 10:56 PM IST - Thunder has struck the area and a lightning warning has been received! The umpires have hurriedly walked back to the dressing room, as have the Irish players. It looks extremely unlikely for the game to go on now.
Update 10:55 PM IST - Oh no, the pitch is being covered because of the drizzle. This could be the end. Get ready for the inevitable if you are a Pakistan fan
Update 10:45 PM IST - It's been a long wait and the umpires are in the middle again. This could be a final inspection, and as I type this, it looks very dark in the middle. A few members of the ground staff are using the dryer in the specific area of the outfield. The match referee Javagal Srinath is in the middle as well and his decision could be the final one
Ravichandran Ashwin is not a big fan of shifting the venues in the middle of the tournament. Surely, his comments won't please the Pakistan fans.👇

Update 10:00 PM IST - The inspection is underway. The umpires head directly towards the wet area on the outfield and there is some water oozing out of the turf as they walk. The dryer is being used by the ground staff to dry the outfield. Oh wait, there will be another inspection at 10:45 PM IST

Update 9:25 PM IST: The ICC have confirmed that the latest a five-over game can begin today is at 2:16 PM local time, which will be 11:46 PM IST.
Update 9:15 PM IST: The umpires aren't convinced, looking at the conditions but they don't want to take a decision now, so there will be another inspection at 10 PM IST (12:30 PM Local).
Update 9:11 PM IST: The wait continues and things doesn't look promising after the inspection. The umpires feel the players would get injured playing on a damp surface. We are getting some news that the game might get called off. Nothing confirmed yet.
