Unarguably one of the best professional boxers, Canelo Alvarez’s resume and achievements are a living testament to his success as a professional boxer. In a career that spans almost two decades, he is still a formidable fighter inside the squared circle.

Canelo Alvarez entered the world of professional boxing on October 29, 2005, in a four-round showdown against Abraham Gonzalez. He won the inaugural fight of his professional career by shutting Gonzalez’s lights off in the final round of the bout and took off to a winning start as a professional boxer.

Canelo Alvarez was born to Santos Alvarez and Ana Maria Barragan. His family belonged to a middle-class household and were actually from Michoacan.
