Marlon Andrés Vera Delgado, aka Chito Vera, is an Ecuadorian mixed martial artist who competes in the bantamweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Vera joined the UFC after participating in the first season of “The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America.” He is ranked 5th in the UFC bantamweight overall rankings as of March 2024.

On November 15, 2014, at UFC 180, Vera made his professional debut against Marco Beltrán; however, Vera was defeated by a unanimous decision. On August 8, 2015, at UFC Fight Night 73, Vera competed against Roman Salazar. He won the match via second-round submission. He also received a bonus for the Performance of the Night.

At UFC Fight Night 219 on February 2023, Vera was slated to take on Cory Sandhagen. On March 25, however, the fight was shifted to UFC on ESPN 43 for an unspecified reason. Vera was defeated by a controversial split decision.

Vera was originally scheduled to compete against former UFC flyweight and bantamweight champion Henry Cejudo at UFC 292 on August 19, 2023. However, Cejudo was replaced by Pedro Munhoz after withdrawing in late June due to a shoulder injury. Vera emerged victorious via a unanimous decision.

After Sean O'Malley won the UFC bantamweight title at UFC 292, he called out Vera to avenge the only loss on his resume, and this fight is slated to take place on March 9, 2024 at UFC 299.
