Stipe Miocic, born on August 19, 1982, in Euclid, Ohio, is a heavyweight fighter commonly regarded as one of the best to fight within the division in the UFC. Standing 6'4" with an 80" reach, Miocic has an impressive record as a two-time UFC Heavyweight Champion, noted for his elite-level boxing, having a strong wrestling base. Equipped with great knockout power, Miocic has won 15 out of his 20 victories via knockout.

He made his debut in the UFC in 2011. Miocic beat Fabricio Werdum via KO at UFC 198 to clinch the heavyweight title, which he would later go on to defend three consecutive times, a record in the UFC heavyweight division. His notable wins include knockouts over MMA legends like Alistair Overeem, Daniel Cormier, and Junior dos Santos. Miocic hasn’t fought in over three years after his devastating knockout loss against Francis Ngannou in their rematch at UFC 260. However, the 42-year-old veteran heavyweight is now gearing up to square off against Jon “Bones” Jones at UFC 309 on November 16, 2024. This fight also presents Miocic an opportunity to become a three-time UFC heavyweight champion. The bout also offers Miocic the chance to become a historic three-time UFC heavyweight champion.

Stipe Miocic has a tattoo of the Croatian coat of arms on the upper side of his right foot, symbolizing his pride in his Croatian heritage. The tattoo mirrors the official emblem of Croatia, which features a main shield with red and white checkered fields and a crown-like structure of five smaller shields. While the original emblem is in color, Miocic opted for a black-and-white rendition.

He got this tattoo on January 16, 2016, done by Ajmoo Harvatska, as a tribute to his ancestry.
