Rivals listed him as the 51st overall recruit, the second-best athlete, and the eighth-best player in California.

Addison made an early impact as a redshirt freshman at the University of Oregon in 2019, starting six of fourteen games. On offense, he had 18 catches for 203 yards and scored a touchdown. Notably, he snagged a 34-yard touchdown pass against Nevada and had a season-high four catches for 42 yards against Stanford.

This transfer demonstrated his adaptability and readiness to adapt to new positions for the good of the team.

As a sophomore in 2021, Addison advanced as a defensive back. He appeared in 13 of Oregon's 14 games and had six tackles, including his first career interception against Washington State, which he recovered for 23 yards. His performance versus Colorado was especially impressive, as he collected a career-high four tackles and one pass breakup.

Addison's performance improved even more throughout the 2022 season. He made one start and appeared in 12 of 13 games, with a career-high 30 total tackles, two interceptions, one forced fumble, five pass breakups, and a tackle for loss. His outstanding efforts included a career-high eight tackles against Stanford and interceptions in successive games against No. 9 UCLA and California.

Addison has consistently improved over his college career, adjusting to multiple positions and making big contributions on both defense and special teams.
