Devin White

Devin White, a linebacker for the Philadelphia Eagles and a Super Bowl champion in 2020, went to North Webster High School and enrolled at the Louisiana State University in 2016. He had an outstanding college career, playing in a total of 34 games and recording a total of 286 tackles, 8.5 sacks, nine pass deflections and four forced fumbles. He won the 2018 Butkus Award and was named the 2018 Consensus All-American, the 2017 second-team All-American, and the First-team All-SEC in 2017 and 2018. He chose to forgo his senior year for the 2019 NFL Draft.

White was selected in the 2019 NFL Draft as the overall #5 pick, by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He signed a four-year rookie deal, after which he signed a one-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles in March 2024. He broke several franchise records for the Buccaneers: most defensive touchdowns by a rookie in a season with two and longest fumble return touchdown of 91 yards. In five seasons with the Buccaneers, he has played in 76 games, starting 75 of them and recording a total of 566 tackles, 23 sacks, 21 passed deflections, six forced fumbles and two touchdowns.

Who are Devin White’s parents?

Devin White’s parents are Coesha Standokes and the late Carlos Thomas. He was born in Springhill, California, on February 17, 1998; however, the couple divorced when White was four years old. Afterwards, Coesha married Willie Standkois, Devin’s loving stepfather, as per the Tampa Bay Buccaneers website.

Who is Devin White’s father?

Devin White’s biological father is Carlos Thomas. Sadly, in November 2022, Carlos passed away while being held on federal charges at the parish detention facility in Natchitoches City, Louisiana. Given that White's death's circumstances are still unknown, the Louisiana sheriff's office is looking into it and an investigation is going on. Carlos was 45 years old when he passed away. Devin White Siblings

Devin White has two younger sisters, Raynesha Standokes and Jada Greenard, and one older, late brother, J'Marco Greenard. Greenard was Standkois' son and there was a six-year age gap between the two. After his senior year of high school, Greenard won a state track championship, but after graduating, Greenard decided to join the Army rather than pursue a career in sports.

Prior to starting basic training, Greenard and the youth group from Mount Sariah Baptist Church visited a water park in Tyler, Texas. On June 11, 2011, at approximately 5:00 p.m., the church van's left rear tire blew out, and the van tumbled multiple times. Everyone in the van died, including Greenward, who was then 19 years old, according to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers website.

Raised in Cotton Valley, Louisiana, White was compelled by his circumstances to mature early, though horseback riding and sports gave him peace. Eventually, football became a refuge, a place where he could escape and sense his brother's presence. And so White aimed to make his brother proud by excelling in sports.
