Jake Moody is an American Football placekicker for the San Francisco 49ers. The Michigan-born placekicker Jake Moody was drafted in the third round (99th overall) in the 2023 NFL Draft. He’s only the second kicker to make it within the top 100 picks over the past decade. Moody attended Northville High School where he played football as well as baseball. He committed to stay home and play for the University of Michigan in February 2018. Moody's senior season was one of his peak performances. In terms of scoring, he topped the Michigan Wolverines football team in 2021 with 122 points. He received the Lou Groza Award and was awarded the 2021 Bakken-Andersen Big Ten Kicker of the Year.

He made 26 of 32 field goals in the regular season of 2022, for an average of 81.25%. In addition, he made 53 out of 53 kicks for points following touchdowns. With 131 points, he also led Michigan in scoring. In his rookie year, Moody has played in 16 games of the regular season putting up an accuracy of 87.5% in Field Goals. Also, he’s scored all of the 58 extra-point attempts in the regular season. During Week 2, Moody scored a 57-yard field goal which is the longest successful by a rookie in the 49ers history.
