The Los Angeles Chargers selected him with the 23rd overall pick in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. In his debut season, he had 107 tackles and a sack and was chosen to the 2020 PFWA All-Rookie Team. Murray had an ankle injury in 2021, leading to his placement on the injured reserve. Murray finished the 2022 campaign with 75 tackles, one forced fumble, one interception, and one sack. The Chargers rejected Murray's contract's fifth-year option in April 2023. In 2024, Murray signed a two-year contract with the Tennessee Titans.
