NFL Week 7 Schedule 2024-25

Week 6 of the NFL saw everything from blowouts in New Orleans and Arlington to a thriller in Tennessee. While the Baltimore Ravens firmly established themselves as the team to be beaten in the AFC alongside the Kansas City Chiefs and Houston Texans, the NFC is still wide open with Minnesota Vikings, San Francisco 49ers, Detroit Lions, Atlanta Falcons, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Green Bay Packers all playing good ball lately. While the Seattle Seahawks, New Orleans Saints, Dallas Cowboys, and Las Vegas Raiders will have some soul-searching to do, Jacksonville Jaguars and Cleveland Browns might have already punted on this season and might be looking to find a new voice in the locker room by the end of the season if not earlyier. NFL week 7 schedule would have 15 total games on it including one Thursday Night Football and two games on Monday.

Games on Sunday, October 20

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. New England Patriots

It's not hyperbole to say Doug Pederson is on borrowed time as the Jacksonville Jaguars who are stuck in England for the second week in a row take on the New England Patriots in this week 7 NFL schedule matchup. Jacksonville has lost 10 out of 12 games going back to week 13 from last season. On the flip side, the Drake Maye era has officially begun in New England. Even though the Patriots lost to the Houston Texans in week 6, Maye showed some promising signs to get optimism back among the Patriots faithful. This is a do-or-die game for Doug Pederson as a loss against the team led by a rookie head coach and quarterback might be enough for him to get sacked.

Detroit Lions at Minnesota Vikings

The NFL week 7 schedule matchup which will pit two NFC North rivals against each other has offense written all over it. While the Vikings have not scored less than 23 points in any game this year, the Lions have averaged 44.5 points in their last two outings. However, Minnesota’s defense led by Brian Flores has been the real talking point this season among the football community. Minnesota has only given up more than 20 points once through the first six weeks. It will be interesting to see how the Jared Goff-Ben Johnson combo will fare against this near-elite-level defense. Only one game separates these two rivals in the divisional standings and a victory here would surely give the winning team an upper hand going forward.

Houston Texans at Green Bay Packers

Both CJ Stroud and Jordan Love accelerated the Texans and the Packers' rebuild process with their breakout performances from last season. While C.J. Stroud and the Texans have started the season from where they left off last year (5-1), Love and the Packers needed some time to gel coming into the new season. They started the year 2-2 with Love missing two games due to an injury he sustained on the last play of the Packers season opener. However, Green Bay got back on track after patching a two-game winning streak en route to a 4-2 record.

Kansas City Chiefs at San Francisco 49ers

This 2023 Super Bowl rematch might be the best one on the NFL week 7 schedule. There might not be a more hated team in the Bay area than the mighty Chiefs who have crushed the 49ers SB dream twice in the last five years. However, the 49ers, who sit at 3-3 going into week 7 have looked vulnerable, unlike the last few seasons. San Francisco, who usually starts the season red-hot and dominates divisional rivals have two uncharacteristic losses on their resume in the form of the Los Angeles Rams and Arizona Cardinals, who are combined 3-8 to start the season. On the other hand, the 5-0 Chiefs have not looked like world-beaters either as their 4 out of 5 wins have come by a margin of 1 score or less.

Game on Monday, October 21

Baltimore Ravens at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Both these teams sit at 4-2 going into this Monday Night matchup of the NFL week 7 schedule. While the Baltimore Ravens are on a four-game winning streak, the Bucs are coming off the game where they put a 50 burger on their divisional rival New Orleans Saints. This game can turn into a high-octane offensive showdown as both these teams have shown that they can light the scoreboard at will. Both their offenses have put up 30 or more points in their last three outings.
