As the trade deadline approaches, the picture will become clearer on which teams will be sellers and buyers. After offloading two big names in Davanate Adams and Amari Cooper this past week, the Las Vegas Raiders and Cleveland Browns have shown that they have already punted on this season and are looking to build for the future. After seven weeks of football, it’s safe to say that one of the preseason media darlings in the New York Jets is the biggest fraud in the league. While the San Francisco 49ers might not be in the same fraudster tire as the Jets, they are certainly not the team to beat in the NFC like the past few seasons. While the Browns and Raiders have already shown their intention to forgo this season, teams like the Carolina Panthers, New York Giants, Tennessee Titans, and New Orleans Saints might also be active as sellers on the trade market as all of them have five or more losses on their respective resume.

Games on Sunday, October 27

Indianapolis Colts at Houston Texans

The AFC South division is going to come down to Indy and Houston. Only one win separates the Colts and Texans going into the week 8 matchup. While Houston is still the favorite to come out on top with C.J. Stroud at the helm, Richardson’s big play ability tied with Shane Steichen’s offensive schemes is more than enough to topple the Texans.

Chicago Bears at Washington Commanders

This NFL week 8 schedule might have the top two quarterbacks taken with the first two picks in the 2024 NFL Draft go up against each other if Jayden Daniels who suffered a rib injury during the week 7 matchup is available. Both rookie quarterbacks have performed well above expectations through the first seven weeks and guided their respective teams to a winning record. If Daniels can’t suit up on Sunday, Marcus Mariots will face the Bears defense, who will be well-rested coming out of Bye week.

Philadelphia Eagles at Cincinnati Bengals

Anything less than a deep playoff run would be considered a failure for either of these teams. After starting 0-3, the Joe Burrow-led Bengals have won three of their past four games, while the Eagles will be entering this week 8 matchup on a two-game winning streak. Cincinnati, who is still one game below .500 can’t afford any other loss as their divisional rivals Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens can’t stop winning on the other side. On the flip side, Philly is just one game behind NFC East leader Washington Commanders with a game in hand.

Dallas Cowboys at San Francisco 49ers

This NFL week 8 schedule will pit two reeling historic rivals in Cowboys and the 49ers against each other. Both teams have had a rocky start to the season as neither of them is above .500. While San Francisco will be trying to get back to .500 during Sunday Night Football, Dallas will be looking to snap their three-game losing streak against their Bay Area rival dating back to 2021 playoffs.
