Charles Patrick McAvoy Jr. is an American ice hockey defenseman and alternate captain for the Boston Bruins in the NHL. The Bruins chose him as the 14th overall pick in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. As a sophomore, McAvoy earned recognition as a CCM/ACHA First Team All-American, tallying 26 points (five goals, 21 assists) in 38 games.
