Ryan Jarromie Noel Nugent-Hopkins is a Canadian professional ice hockey player and alternate captain for the Edmonton Oilers in the National Hockey League (NHL). He is affectionately nicknamed "Nuge" by fans and was selected first overall in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, after which Nugent-Hopkins set many records in his rookie season. Moving forward, Nugent-Hopkins signed an eight-year, $41 million contract extension with the Oilers in 2021 and reached 200 career goals in 2022.
