Tomáš Hertl, born on November 12, 1993, is a Czech ice hockey forward currently playing for the Vegas Golden Knights in the National Hockey League (NHL). He was drafted 17th overall in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft by the San Jose Sharks. Before joining the NHL, Hertl played for HC Slavia Praha in the Czech Extraliga. Moreover, Hertl was ranked fifth among European skaters before the 2012 NHL Entry draft by the NHL Central Scouting Bureau. He officially signed with the Sharks on June 3, 2013 and made his debut against the Vancouver Canucks on October 3. Throughout his 11-season career with the Sharks, he tallied 218 goals alongside 266 assists he also made an NHL All-Star game appearance during his time with the sharks.

Hertl has represented the Czech Republic in various international competitions, including the IIHF World U18 Championships and the World Junior Ice Hockey Championships, showcasing his talent on the global stage. He has also participated in the IIHF World Championships and the World Cup of Hockey, contributing to the Czech national team's success.
