Vladimir Tarasenko is a Russian professional ice hockey right winger playing for the Detroit Red Wings in the National Hockey League (NHL), as of 2024. Before his NHL career, he played with the Sibir Novosibirsk organization, making his debut with the senior team in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) during the 2008–09 season. After three seasons with Novosibirsk, he was traded to SKA Saint Petersburg in 2012.
Tarasenko was selected in the first round, 16th overall, in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft by the St. Louis Blues. He joined the Blues for the 2012–13 season, where he spent over a decade. During his time in St. Louis, he participated in three NHL All-Star Games and played a pivotal role in the Blues winning the Stanley Cup in 2019.
