Rohit Sharma was born on 30 April 1987, to parents Gurunath Sharma (father) and Purnima Sharma (mother). Purnima spent most of her life in Maharashtra, but she reportedly hails from Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. She likely moved to Maharashtra post her marriage to Gurunath Sharma, a former caretaker of a transport firm storehouse. Purnima Sharma is a parent to two kids, the cricketer himself and his younger brother, Vishal. Rohit Sharma's mother reportedly is a homemaker.
