Daniel Theis is a German professional basketball player who plays as a center for the Los Angeles Clippers in the NBA. Born on April 4, 1992, Theis' basketball career began in his native country, Germany, where he made his debut in the Basketball Bundesliga during the 2010/11 season with the Basketball Löwen Braunschweig’s development squad. Here, he shared the court with future NBA player Dennis Schröder.

Undrafted in the 2013 NBA Draft, Theis continued to make his mark in Germany. His breakout season came with the German club - Ratiopharm Ulm during the 2013/14 season, as he earned the BBL Best Young Player award.
