Gunnar Helm is a college football tight-end who plays for the Texas Longhorns. Helm began his football career at Cherry Creek High School. During his time at Cherry Creek, Rivals ranked Helm no. 3 in Colorado and the no. 13 tight-end. Helm was an All-State and All-Centennial League standout from the state of Colorado.

He recorded two catches for 37 yards at Baylor and one for 14 yards against Wyoming. In the Red River Rivalry versus Oklahoma, he caught his first touchdown pass and set career highs with four grabs for 67 yards. Helm caught one catch for 11 yards in the Big 12 Championship Game triumph against Oklahoma State and had a one-yard reception against Texas Tech. He caught a six-yard pass against Washington in the CFP semifinal.
Helm started the season opener against Colorado State in his senior year and caught two passes for 42 yards. Against Colorado State, he recorded his career-long reception of 37 yards. Against Michigan, he also led the Longhorns in receiving yards and receptions.
